Hugh Hughes - Chairman, CEO & Founder
Hugh serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fixnetix Ltd. and Chief Executive of Fixnetix, Inc.and has more than 30 years' experience in investment banking and the financial services sector. Until October 2005, he was Chief Executive Officer of the London arm of Thales Information Systems, a leading provider of consultancy, systems integration and outsourcing services. Before joining Thales, he set up ITGE, a joint venture between ITG and SGSL. (global crossing.) Prior to these appointments above, he held the position of Chief Executive at SG Securities Ltd (SGS) for over ten years.
Hugh started his career at Wedd Durlacher in 1968 and was the youngest person to make partner at WDM (BZW) in 1981. After 4 years, he left to develop Savory Milln International where is negotiated the sale of Savory Milln to SBCI (UBS) in 1987. Hugh has served on a number of committees including the SBCI (UBS) Executive Committee, the New Integrated London Office Executive Committee and was nominated to the Council of the International Stock Exchange in 1990.
Paul Ellis - Founder & Director of Sales
Paul has more than 16 years' experience in market data and electronic trading, having originally started his career with Reuters before moving on to become head of UK market data production for ABN AMRO. Paul's expertise is developing new markets and opportunities around complex data and trading solutions. Prior to co-founding Fixnetix, Paul was head of UK business for Net2s, a French financial services system integrator, and also held a senior position with KPMG developing new business around the application service provider (ASP) market.
Alasdair Moore - Founder & Business Development Director
Alasdair has more than 25 years' experience in the financial services industry Previously, Alasdair was a director of Tullett Liberty Securities & Tullett Liberty Equities. During this period and following the ISD2 regulatory changes in Europe he was instrumental in building the largest network of stock exchange memberships of any independent stockbroker in Europe. In 1999 Alasdair also built the first team of quants to code execution algorithms offering algorithmic execution services at any agency broker in Europe.
Jason Mochine - Director of Channel Sales
Jason has over 20 years' market data experience having recently joined after 14 years from Reuters plc where he had managed the UK & Ireland Account Management operation. Jason was previously engaged in various sales roles at Telekurs A.G. and Quotron Ltd.
David Thompson - Company Secretary
25+ years experience in senior financial positions the majority of which has been with IT oriented companies in the financial services sector. David's first position in the market data arena was international controller of Citibank's Quotron business. More recently he was with CWB, a City based IT consultancy and out sourcing company. Other positions include being FD of Arbat Banking Systems, Excite Europe, Technocom and Line Management Group.
Stuart Willoughby - Director of Technical Solutions
Stuart has more than 18 years' engineering experience in market data and electronic trading. He was global head of engineering for Barclays Capital and previously served with many prestigious companies such as Cazenove, KPMG, ABN AMRO and Reuters. In these positions, Stuart provided engineering services and architected design, and also built support teams around complex leading edge technical infrastructure
Anthony Kingsnorth – Chief Operating Officer
Anthony (Tony) has more than 13 years experience in market data and IT Service Delivery. He was European head of Production Services for Lehman Brothers having previously served as Head of Market Data Infrastructure at the same organisation. During his time at Lehman Brothers, Tony oversaw the implementation of the Bank's European low latency platform that supported both internal applications and external DMA clients. Prior to Lehman, Tony has worked at a number of other Investment Banks including JP Morgan, ING Barings and Saudi International Bank.
Rod Kent - Exchange Operations
Rod has more than 12 years' IT operations experience based within Tullett Liberty Ltd. For the first four years Rod managed the team responsible for disseminating data to over 150 institutions in London and mainland Europe. During the following eight years Rod was responsible for all IT requirements for Tullett Liberty's Equity division, connecting over 20 European and US cash and derivative exchanges. He also designed and implemented bespoke middle office systems for the division.
Matt Dangerfield - Chief Technology Officer
Matt has over 14 years experience working for Tier One Investment Banks here and in the U.S.A. Matt joined Fixnetix from Credit Suisse where he managed vendor relationships / product development for AES and designed the Credit Suisse LLDMA offering in Europe. Prior to Credit Suisse Matt ran the Bear Stearns European client connectivity group for LLDMA, DMA & DSA.
Karen Bertoli - Chief Marketing Officer
Karen's experience in marketing and public relations spans over 15 years and covers financial services, technology and law. Known as an integral networker and idea person, Karen channelled her energies and skills sets during a 2 year full time MBA program at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, California, graduating in 2001. Karen brings to Fixnetix previous in-depth knowledge of the low latency space and experience across all asset classes coupled with the ability to make highly technical solutions user friendly and understandable to the public eye.
Bob Fuller - Chief Administration Officer
Bob was Chief Executive Officer of Equiduct, an organisation created to provide MiFID compliant trading services and equity best execution on its Belgian regulated pan-European electronic exchange. As CEO, he was responsible for driving Equiduct's phased roll-out plan and developing a broad range of service propositions to help European financial institutions via its own Pan-European regulated exchange or as a white label product to systematic internalisers or financial institutions that want to operate their own trading facilities.
Prior to Equiduct, Bob was Director of IT Strategy at Dresdner Kleinwort (DK), where he focused on infrastructure, exchange connectivity, Swift connectivity and centrally-cleared products including exchange-traded derivatives, equities and bonds. In addition to his work at DK, Bob was also co-chair of the IT sub group for the MiFID Joint Working Group set up to evaluate MiFID legislation and its impact across Europe.
Bob is Chairman of the MiFID IT Sub Group to date and contributes heavily to the regulatory community in London and beyond.
Sarah Ferguson - Director of Finance
A qualified Chartered Accountant, Sarah has been with Fixnetix since its outset. Sarah has worked in industry for the past 7 years with a focus on innovative and high growth companies. Prior to moving into industry, Sarah worked as a management consultant with one of the Top20 accountancy practices in the UK.
Richard Reed - Director of Pre-Sales and Telecoms
Richard has 15 years Telecoms industry experience with the last 9 years working at Verizon Business. These years were spent predominately designing Network solutions for the financial community including the London Stock Exchange and ICAP. Richard joined Fixnetix in January 2010 to help grow the Fixnetix Low Latency infrastructure throughout Europe, USA and the rest of the world. Richard also runs a team of experts that support the Sales teams in Fixnetix solution designs.
Trevor Miller - Head of Systems Architecture
Trevor has designed and developed complex financial services systems as a project manager with Logica and as founder and principle of Market Systems Technology for over 30 years before joining Fixnetix. He was MST's chief architect for real-time market data collection and distribution systems created for Dow Jones Telerate, the Boston, Pacific and American Stock exchanges, as well as a number of brokerages. Trevor is one of the industry's most experienced designers of high performance real-time messaging systems. He is the lead designer of Fixnetix new generation of financial ticker processing and messaging middleware products.
Jack Swan - Vice President of Software Development
Jack began his career in financial services software development as a consultant with Monchik-Weber Associates in New York. He was Chief Architect for Fidelity Investments Advanced Technologies Group. In 1984 Jack and Trevor Miller founded Market Systems Technology, a software development firm specializing in real-time messaging systems. MST developed real-time processing and distribution systems that were proven industry leaders in high capacity, low latency messaging. He was Market Systems Technology's CEO as well as architect and developer for 25 years before joining Fixnetix. Jack was instrumental in establishing Fixnetix in the US.
