Hugh Hughes - Chairman, CEO & Founder
Hugh serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fixnetix Ltd. and Chief Executive of Fixnetix, Inc.and has more than 30 years' experience in investment banking and the financial services sector. Until October 2005, he was Chief Executive Officer of the London arm of Thales Information Systems, a leading provider of consultancy, systems integration and outsourcing services. Before joining Thales, he set up ITGE, a joint venture between ITG and SGSL. (global crossing.) Prior to these appointments above, he held the position of Chief Executive at SG Securities Ltd (SGS) for over ten years.
Hugh started his career at Wedd Durlacher in 1968 and was the youngest person to make partner at WDM (BZW) in 1981. After 4 years, he left to develop Savory Milln International where is negotiated the sale of Savory Milln to SBCI (UBS) in 1987. Hugh has served on a number of committees including the SBCI (UBS) Executive Committee, the New Integrated London Office Executive Committee and was nominated to the Council of the International Stock Exchange in 1990.
Paul Ellis - SVP - Business Development & Founder
Paul has more than 16 years' experience in market data and electronic trading, having originally started his career with Reuters before moving on to become head of UK market data production for ABN AMRO. Paul's expertise is developing new markets and opportunities around complex data and trading solutions. Prior to co-founding Fixnetix, Paul was head of UK business for Net2s, a French financial services system integrator, and also held a senior position with KPMG developing new business around the application service provider (ASP) market.
Alasdair Moore - Business Development Director & Founder
Alasdair has more than 25 years' experience in the financial services industry Previously, Alasdair was a director of Tullett Liberty Securities & Tullett Liberty Equities. During this period and following the ISD2 regulatory changes in Europe he was instrumental in building the largest network of stock exchange memberships of any independent stockbroker in Europe. In 1999 Alasdair also built the first team of quants to code execution algorithms offering algorithmic execution services at any agency broker in Europe.
Rob Johnson is a Partner with the venture capital firm Delta Partners. Also Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship at IESE, where he teaches about venture capital and private equity, Rob was Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at London Business School for 10 years. A successful entrepreneur and experienced private investor, he built his first business in the US in the database and marketing space. He has been actively involved in the start-up of a number of other businesses and has extensive US and European finance and management experience.
Alderman and Sheriff Alan Colin Drake Yarrow FCSI (Hon)
Sheriff Alan Yarrow was elected Sheriff of London for 2011/2012 and will spend the year assisting the Lord Mayor in his role as ambassador for all UK-based financial and professional services. In 2009, Sheriff Yarrow was appointed Chairman of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment having previously served on its Board between 2001 and 2005. He left Dresdner Kleinwort in December 2009, latterly as Group Vice Chairman and Chairman of the UK Bank. Sheriff Yarrow currently holds several non-executive posts as Chairman of CISI, Chairman of the newly-formed Kleinwort Benson Financial Services Holdings, and Non-Exec Director of Turquoise Services and of Fixnetix Ltd. He was formerly Deputy Chairman of the FSA Practitioner Panel, Chairman of the London Investment Banking Association (LIBA), director of Complinet, a member of the Takeover Panel and Vice President of the Council of the British Bankers Association. Sheriff Yarrow was also a member of the Chancellor of the Exchequer's High Level Stakeholder Group. He is a Magistrate of the City of London and an Almoner of Christ's Hospital.
Ken Yeadon- Non-Executive Director
Managing Partner and Co-Founder, Thematic Capital Partners LLP. - Over 25 years experience in management, trading, technology, large technology project management, and venture investing. Former head of trading, sales and e-commerce for HSBC Asia-Pacific. Successful track record in angel and venture investing in specialist financial markets technology, and as an investor and practitioner in fixed income, derivatives and FX trading, high frequency trading, stat-arb and quantitative/arbitrage trading and liquidity management infrastructure and financial CRM projects.
David Thompson - Company Secretary
25+ years experience in senior financial positions the majority of which has been with IT oriented companies in the financial services sector. David's first position in the market data arena was international controller of Citibank's Quotron business. More recently he was with CWB, a City based IT consultancy and out sourcing company. Other positions include being FD of Arbat Banking Systems, Excite Europe, Technocom and Line Management Group.
